Advaita - RasiyaNew Delhi fusion-rock act Advaita have a video out for their song ‘Rasiya’. The song is the opening track to their debut album Grounded In Space, released earlier this year. The band was also part of the Soundpad project that saw them, along with Medusa, Indigo Children and Swarathma, record songs with ace Brit producer John Leckie and embark on a mini-tour of the UK earlier this year.

‘Rasiya’ pretty much sums up the Advaita experience – easy listening, fusion-rock sold on familiar melodies and the fact that not too many other bands have a sarangi player. The well produced video features some nifty time-lapse, stop-motion work and many kitschy city visuals one would expect to find at a BLOT gig. The super-emo animated bird that appears half way in is perhaps a bit much, but we’ll let that pass for all the other photo-geekery thrown in. Well worth your watch.
