- Oh well, a start is a start.
Hungama recently launched a digital music store (check out our first impressions). We said at the time
Overall, Hungama seems to have put together a well thought through consumer proposition driven mostly by its liberal usage of Apple’s design sensibilities and a great pricing strategy.
The initial release featured predominantly Bollywood music, supported by Hungama’s claim that they had exclusive rights to 500,000 music and video titles. The service has now launched a (very) limited selection of international music that can also be accessed/purchased. The current catalogue is essentially a list of uber-mainstream artists including Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift and Hannah Montana.
Surprisingly, no Bryan Adams. Yet.
No word on their indies service at this time. Check out Hungama’s international catalogue.
