The Circus Preview New Album Material

The Circus was one of our picks from the latest edition of Channel V Launchpad. Their Incubus inspired alternative is delivered efficiently and makes no bones about what it is and where it finds its roots.

The CircusThe Circus was one of our picks from the latest edition of Channel V Launchpad. Their Incubus inspired alternative is delivered efficiently and makes no bones about what it is and where it finds its roots. The band is gearing up to release its debut album From Space (on Grey & Saurian) and is previewing material on its official MySpace page. Three new recordings have been posted

‘F.O.P.S’
‘Cover Band’
‘Japanese Rebellion’

The new songs are pretty much what we’ve come to expect of the band – rhythm heavy, fuzzy guitars, stop-start melodies and the work of that elastic bassist. The band recently gave away a free download of the song ‘Mind Therapy’. Check out a video of them performing ‘Japanese Rebellion’ at the Launchpad elimination gigs. The band plays Firangi Paani (Andheri) in Mumbai tonight (Sep 10) and Not Just Jazz By The Bay (Pune) on Sep 12.

Here’s the tracklist for From Space.

1. Mind Therapy
2. Reconcile Me
3. Tension Wires
4. F.O.P.S
5. Trip
6. Tag
7. Welcome (To The Body Game)
8. Swindtpittle
9. Japanese Rebellion
10. Cover Band
