Guns N' Roses BangaloreThat’s what Rhapsody Inc (no direct relation to music service Rhapsody) would have us believe. The company’s (well designed) website claims that Axl and Co will play the Palace Grounds, Bangalore on Saturday, November 7.

I called the Bangalore based firm to find out more about this gig and was put on to a terribly curt individual who said his name was Arjun, and seemed a little peeved that mine was too. “Arjun” informed me, very precisely, that no details could be shared before September 15. When I queried about the information on the website, I was told to “make what you want out of it.” Several questions came to mind at this moment, but “Arjun” was unwilling to reveal more.

Now given the mercurial nature of the band itself, one is inclined to believe that all may not be as it seems. Has Rhapsody Inc jumped the gun on an unconfirmed event? The company’s credentials, according to the website, seem restricted to Indian classical and ‘contemporary’ music events and um, “property events” for real estate services.

We’re going to trust “Arjun” and wait for September 15 to find out.

UPDATE: The site has now been taken down.

UPDATE II: The site is back up. The November 7 date has been removed, and the phone number of the company has also been taken out.

Till then, here are some younger international acts intending to play in India in the coming few months. And some older ones.
