P-ManOpen Mind Night at Zenzi, Bandra (Mumbai) last Thursday featured among a bevy of Indian indie’s who’s-who, a special performance by P-Man of The P-Man Show. The Khiladi frontman, who shot an episode of The P-Man Show at the venue (featuring interviews with Raghu Dixit, Luke Kenny and Monica Dogra), performed a cover of Shaa’ir + Func’s ‘Love Love Love’. The, um, rendition of this new track from S+F’s yet untitled, WIP new album featured just P-Man and a bass guitar.

We asked P-Man why he chose to cover ‘Love Love Love’

Coz Monica was hosting it (Open Mind Night), and I wanted to pay tribute to one of the greatest voices in our Indian indie music scene. And also that song, according to me, is THE perfect song written by S+F.

The cover was a regular P-Man laugh riot, much to the dismay of Ms Dogra who promised that “retribution is a fucking bitch.” We’re excited.

Watch some snippets of P-Man’s cover below, though the entirety of the performance can be watched on a new episode of The P-Man Show, coming soon. We’ve also got a live version of Shaa’ir + Func performing ‘Love Love Love’ at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai earlier this year.

Also, blame the poor quality of footage on the dim lighting at Zenzi.
