The countdown to The Ladakh Confluence has begun as work-weary city folks plan eagerly to head to the mountains for a four day vacay away from the suits, the ties, the traffic and the trauma of the cosmopolitan. The confluence takes place between August 28-31 and the scenic surroundings of the Ladakh mountains will play host to a four day “eco-adventure and percussion festival”.
According to the organisers
The Ladakh Confluence brings together musicians, artists, green living experts and lovely folks like you from all over the globe for one heck of a party up in the mountains.
The lineup of artists scheduled to play at the festival so far (subject to change) includes
Talvin Singh
Bauchklang
Kymani Marley and Qulah
Rahul Sharma
Davide Swarup
Ortal Pelleg
Rodney Branigan
Rajasthan Roots
Roberto Narain
While frankly, the lineup could’ve been Band Of Boys and friends, and people would still turn up (it’s Ladakh + Music, that’s an unfailing combination), this first list is very encouraging. We’re packing our bags already.
More details as we hear them. Till then, head to Facebook.
