Mumbai rock act Something Relevant played the Blue Frog on Wednesday, June 17. The band played material from their coming debut album (one that’s been in the works for an unduly long time, and was scheduled to be released in April) Feels Good To Be Live.

Notes:

  1. Over the past few years, the band has nailed the audience management efficiency through most of its live act
  2. The performance itself is largely tight, helped by the overall cheery demeanor of the band
  3. The addition of the feigned histrionics during ‘In The Kitchen’ and a few other songs was fun
  4. Also, we hear a different version of ‘In The Kitchen’ at every STR gig, and still prefer the original demo-ed one
  5. Vishwesh (of Scribe) adds beatboxing to a CV that includes singing, playing the guitar and stand-up comedy
  6. Following a greater-than-10-minute jam with another greater-than-10-minute jam is really not a good idea kids
  7. The overly lengthy jams in the second half of the set took points away from the strong opening half

We took a bunch of photos at the gig. Here are some.
