NDTV Good Times is set to launch The Rolling Stone Show this July. The show, which will be hosted by Luke Kenny, will feature music news from India and abroad. According to the press release
Discover the stars, live the life of true rockstars… As the world’s biggest music magazine comes to live television for the first time in the world. Find out who’s rocking the charts, who’s making the news and who is on the verge of history… This is your quintessential guide to, whatever that makes it in the world of music.
Shooting for the show started on June 17 with the first episode set to air at 9:30pm on Sunday, July 19. Rolling Stone’s been hot on the promotion trail, plugging weekly gigs across the country, and their relationship with Kenny has meant that he hosts most of their events. Indian bands will be a regular feature of this new show, and PR speak claims that some of the bands to be featured on the show include
The Supersonics
MIDIval PunditZ
Advaita
Great Society
Them Clones
Asian Dub Foundation
Swami
Solid cred bands to kick off what we’re hoping will be a fair representation of Indian indie music on television.
