The uber talented Singhs of the east are finally headed out of Kolkata for a mini-tour of Bangalore and Mumbai. PINKNOISE and Skinny Alley travel to Bangalore on June 6, 7 to play Kyra, and then head to Mumbai to play a date each at Firangi Paani and Blue Frog.
We asked Jayashree Singh about what she was looking forward most on this mini-tour.
Days and nights without rain!
This is as good a time as any to inform her then that the Met department predicts the monsoon in Mumbai in about four days, while Bangalore has been wet for a while now. It’s been some time since the PINKNOISE quartet played Mumbai and we’re definitely looking forward to it. The Mumbai gigs are Pink Floyd ‘tribute’ gigs that will feature the band performing renditions of Floyd songs in their own kitschy style. We were lucky to get an early listen to some of this material and we highly recommend, Pink Floyd fans or otherwise, to catch the band when they perform in your city.
