This Week’s Top Mumbai Gig Picks

Your guide to the top gigs in town (Mumbai town), weekly.

There’s a host of international artists performing in Mumbai this week.

Head to Hard Rock Cafe on Wednesday, Feb 18 for the first gig of Goldspot’s VH1 Global Music Xpress India tour. The band will be playing in the city for the first time since last year’s well received performance at the One Tree Music Festival. Entry is Rs 500. Expect the venue to be packed.

If alternative is not your thing, check out Herbie Hancock with Chaka Khan at the NCPA on the same day. The jazz legend plays the venue with students from the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz as part of The Living Dream series of concerts.

On Thursday, Feb 19, head to the Blue Frog for French pop singer Miliana. Check out her MySpace for more information. Entry is Rs 300 after 9pm.
