Watch: ‘Crying Lightning (live)’ – Arctic Monkeys

Fresh from their sessions in the desert with Josh Homme, Sheffield’s Arctic Monkeys are already previewing new material from what we expect will be a new album. The band recently played Big Day Out where they performed several new songs including ‘Crying Lightning’. This live recording found its way from Australian TV to YouTube (like all great music) and features a new look Jamie Cook and a relatively new sound Arctic Monkeys. The song sees the Monkeys much moodier, in the vein of songs like ‘Riot Van’ and ‘Balaclava’.
