The final seven bands (of the original 20) that will take part in Channel V’s reality show Launchpad have been announced. These seven are currently at the ‘Launchpad house’ and are probably doing stuff that most reality show contestants who live in CCTV-ed houses do like bathing, and bitching about hair.
Circus (Delhi)
Faridkot (Delhi)
Cassini’s Division (Calcutta)
Blank Noize (Delhi)
Prachir (Calcutta)
Workshop (Bombay)
Reverse Polarity (Bombay)
They will now play three gigs at the Blue Frog before a jury that will consist of Vishal Dadlani and other assorted Indian indie peeps (a far closer version of American Idol than MTV’s Campus Rock Idols). The gigs are on Feb 2, 5 and 9. If you want to check out the gigs at the Frog, email this dude; only 75 passes are available.
