It is telling that an M. Ward download piece would start with something about Zooey Deschanel. Deschanel’s riding the crest of an indie love wave that looks as credible as her saying she was 24 in the 2007 film (OST-ed by M. Ward) The Go-Getter. With She & Him pretty much making the indie A-list and an engagement to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie also on her agenda, anything Ms Deschanel does is newsblogworthy. Which is why it was probably a good idea for M. Ward’s promo MP3 from his new album Hold Time to be a duet with his She & Him cohort.
