Nokia Music Store

When the new lineup of iPods were launched in India earlier this year I asked an Apple representative about whether Apple intended to launch iTunes in India soon, or at all. To which he replied

Sorry, I canâ??t comment. *mumble mumble* Iâ??m not the right person to ask.

Nokia will now beat Apple to the punch by launching a live beta of the Nokia Music Store in India in December. Nokia has tied up with the big four record labels along with Indian labels like T-Series, Big Music and Yashraj. This means that Indian consumers will be able to purchase music from a catalogue of millions of songs from thousands of artists, both Indian and international, right on their mobile phones.

Which is awesome, if they get their pricing right.
