The Download Festival is one of the biggest hard rock/metal festivals in the world, held yearly at Donnington Park, UK. The three day event has, since 2003, seen performances from bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Guns ‘n Roses (who have finally confirmed the release of Chinese Democracy, which means that everyone in the USA can drink a free can of Dr Peppers).
The instalment of the festival to be held in 2009 has been scheduled for 12, 13 and 14 June. Bands performing are yet to be announced. If you’re in England then, stick around a few more weeks for Glastonbury 2009 – scheduled for 24 to 28 June.
