Lounge Piranha
Lounge Piranha have been doing a lot to promote their new album Going Nowhere. From a seven city tour, to promo videos, to previewing songs on their MySpace, the band are making sure that the album gets a wide reception. Adding to their list of album promotion tools will be a film documenting their tour and time, literally, on the road.

The Piranhas are travelling across the country in a tour bus, the same mentioned on the band’s blog

When 2008 came we started talking about it seriously. By then we’d already done a few train journeys and as far as doing them to play a show went, the charm was all but lost. Then we thought of driving. Then we thought about our own tour bus and that put a ssssmile on our face! We got a plan together.

According to Radioandmusic.com

The band is touring in a bus and the entire tour will be documented by a videographer, making them the first Indian band to undertake a full fledged, documented road trip across the country.

This is the sort of stuff a lot more Indian bands need to be doing. It’s idealistic, exciting and, with decent PR, can get you coverage.

Lounge Piranha will play at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai on Oct, 21.
