The Pragmatic is the project of André Allen Anjos, better known for being part of RAC. His remixes are pretty popular, blending electronic/dance sensibilities with indie music from artists as diverse as Arcade Fire, CSS, Ra Ra Riot and Tokyo Police Club.
‘Circles’ is The Pragmatic’s first official single, released on Nettwerk. The official release is available as a free download from the band’s official website. Laden with heavy synth and almost Ben Gibbard-ish vocals, the song is indie electro-pop personified. It takes tricks out of The Postal Service and MGMT and combines them with said electro-pop styles making an engaging listen.
