Oasis

Ever since Noel G got coneyed at Canada, Oasis have been one of the most talked (and blogged) about bands of September. With Dig Out Your Soul releasing in just a few days (leak + official) it’s no surprise that the kids in the UK are desperate to see their men in action.

This feeling of anticipation also reflects in the first live music charts hosted on Tisdaq.com. The website compiles data from ‘online exchanges’ such as eBay, Seatwave and Viagogo to calculate the most popular live act. The result is that Oasis beat out Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder (yeah, WTF), Kanye West and Coldplay to top the live music charts.

Live music charts are an interesting addition to the charting system, especially given how rigid album charts are. If online ticket sales do take off in India these charts could see a better pecking order for bands than terribly unorganised album sales.
