Third Eye Blind Let Fans In To Ursa Major

The last three songs from the album Third Eye Blind are perhaps the best three songs that Third Eye Blind have ever written. Since then they’ve seen the loss of guitarists Kevin Cadogan and Arion Salazar, and have proved that Stephan Jenkins cannot write good songs by himself. Therefore, their last two albums were pretty poor. Out Of The Vein, their last album, was released in 2003.

Now, 3eb are getting ready to release their fourth studio album Ursa Major. In a ‘Mission Metallica’ sort of way the band will allow fans to get up close with the finishing of the album, due to be released in Feb, ’09. Through an online portal via Indaba Music, the band will upload blogs and videos of the recording and production process.

As 3EB finishes laying down tracks, the band will post unmixed instrument stems for you to tweak, shape, and edit through a series of contests. They want to hear your vision for their songs. The first track, “Non-Dairy Creamer,” is already available for you to work on!
