The folks at Blue Frog have announced the launch of Blue Frog Production, an ‘integrated music production company’, and Blue Frog Soundlabs, ‘four state-of-the-art music recording studios’. With a dearth of good places to record, and Blue Frog’s proven attention to detail, this should mean better quality music.
For those who can afford it. Blue Frog partner Srila Chatterjee says (in the press release)
What we’re really selling at Blue Frog Production is a better quality of life: we’re aiming at making the whole process of â??making musicâ? painless, pleasurable and professional. We are promising everyone more time to do all the other things in life that add to the rich experiences that let good people achieve excellence.
Okay.
The Soundlabs will have be catered to by Chef Rahul Akerkar and will have a pool table. Oh, also killer sound stuff designed by UK based Munro Acoustics.
Joe Band, it’s time to start saving. Full release after the jump.
After the success of its recently opened live performance club in Mumbai, Blue Frog announces the launch of Blue Frog Production, its integrated music production company, and the Blue Frog Soundlabs, four state-of-the-art music recording studios.
Blue Frog Production offers intelligent sound consultancy, integrated music production services and custom-designed audio experiences. Its resources include a seasoned team of composers, producers, strategic brand consultants and client servicing executives who ensure the development of a robust product blueprint; the state-of-the-art Soundlabs bring the product to life.
Blue Frog Production is revolutionizing the nature of the business by creating standardized composer rate cards and eliminating messy royalty issues. Its streamlined system of working provides ease of operations to clients who want a business bottom line and to composers who want to be able to come in simply to compose and create.
The production companyâ??s roster includes composers ranging from the most seasoned to young, upcoming talent who will be mentored and nurtured by the veterans. By bringing fresh talent to a saturated market place, the company exposes clients to high quality, previously untapped talent under the able guidance of senior composers.

Beyond the traditional music production areas of television, advertising films and radio jingles, Blue Frog Production is foraying into fields like retail soundscaping (including customized in-store radio channels and caller hold tunes), computer game audio design and a fully interactive digital audio library that offers high quality music in bulk through a simple subscription buying mechanism.Blue Frog Soundlabs
Housed next to the Blue Frog Club, in an airy 4000 square foot warehouse space, the Blue Frog Soundlabs bring together top-of-the-line technology and client comfort in one space. Clients can sip espresso, surf the web or kill time over a game of pool in the lounge while waiting on a take, as well as enjoy a daily menu created by head chef Rahul Akerkar. Composers have their own quiet writing, thinking and napping space, and can meet with clients to review audio projects in a comfortable, fully-equipped conference room. The premium recording studios promise the best bang-for-buck from world-class equipment, and also function as a gallery of contemporary art.
There are four studios in total: Labs A & B are larger, fitted with SSL AWS900 consoles, a stereo setup of Dynaudio M3 monitoring and a 5.1 setup using Dynaudio Air 15s. Labs C and D are smaller, with custom Manley consoles and a stereo setup of custom Dynaudio C3 monitors. The recording areas have variable acoustic treatment to allow each roomâ??s reverberation time to be changed for different setups.
Designed by acclaimed UK-based audio designers Munro Acoustics, (www.munro.co.uk), the space has been conceived of by composers, for composers and artists. Itâ??s a workplace designed not just for capturing music, but for creating it.
